Second year students of BSc. Forestry visited Directorate of Tree Seed Production (DTSP) at Kihonda, Morogoro on 7th<\/sup> January 2019 . The main purpose of the visit was to learn and acqure practical experience on tree nursery preparation and techniques, part of Silviculture course offered by the Department of Ecosystems and Conservation<\/a>.  The visit was organized by College of Forestry, Wildlife and Tourism and led by course instructor Prof. S.A.O Chamshama<\/strong> assisted by Mr. Cosmas J.E.  <\/strong>DTSP staff Mr. Fundey together with Ms. Frida hosted the whole program. <\/p>\n

Students observing tree nurseries in the screening house, where contaminants and pests are excluded. In screening houses there is a uniform watering system known as misting irrigation system set at specified times for ensuring better growth of seedlings.<\/p>\n
