The candidate will work with Statskog on an ongoing basis and must expect some office hours at their head office in Namsos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The position runs for a period of 3 years with start date is as soon as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Main_responsibilities\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Main responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The postdoc position will focus on the following main areas:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Evaluate, improve and develop various growth and yield and mortality functions that make up the GEOSKOG tool<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Utilise GEOSKOG in a series of analyses looking at the effect of different forest management treatments, &nbsp;environmental restrictions, &nbsp;and harvesting strategies on the available volumes of timber as well as on the provision of ecosystems services in the short and medium term<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"Professional_qualifications_required\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Professional qualifications (required)<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">PhD in forestry with a focus on on growth &amp;
