Department of Ecosystems and Conservation<\/a> of Sokoine University of Agriculture<\/a> is offering Forest Botany<\/a> course among others. This Forest Botany<\/a> is offered under BSc Forestry<\/a> and BSc Wildlife Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On 8th<\/sup> June, 2022 Students undertaking BSc Forestry<\/a> and BSc Wildlife Management<\/a> Year 1 conducted field practical at Kimboza Forest Reserve and and Kitulangalo Forest Reserve, Morogoro.<\/p>\n

Upon successful completion of Forest Botany<\/a>\u00a0course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n

  1. Define key concepts and terminologies used in forest botany<\/li>\n
  2. Identify and describe important plant families in forestry.<\/li>\n
  3. Collect plant specimens and prepare herbarium.<\/li>\n
  4. Plan and organize botanical surveys<\/li>\n
  5. Prepare botanical reports and present to professional and non-professional audiences<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
