We will open the application process in January, 2023, and the deadline to submit your application will be 30 April, 2023.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"History_of_the_Scholarship_Program\">History of the Scholarship Program<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">AAZV is proud to name this program after Murray Fowler. \u00a0Murray was known around the world for his contributions to zoo and wildlife medicine and shared his knowledge countless times with colleagues from developing nations. Grants will usually be awarded in amounts up to $2,000 USD. The funds are <a title=\"China has made significant contributions to biodiversity conservation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/china-has-made-significant-contributions-to-biodiversity-conservation\">made possible by the voluntary contributions<\/a> of individual AAZV members, the public and fundraising efforts by AAZV \/ International Committee members. All international members are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Preference will be given to applicants from developing countries with\u00a0<b>demonstrable\u00a0<\/b><b>financial needs\u00a0<\/b>and focused educational\/conservation goals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>NOTE<\/b>: Conference registration will open on 1 July 2023. <a title=\"Scholarships to Cover Biodiversity Conferences\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/scholarships-to-cover-biodiversity-conferences\">Scholarship awardees must register for the Conference<\/a> by\u00a029 July 2023.
