The scholarship was launched as part of the celebration of 30 years of women students at Hatfield College, Durham University in 2018, and is funded by alumni, friends of the College and other sources supportive of the scholarship\u2019s aims.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hatfield College aims to award the Lioness Scholarship to an individual who has the <a title=\"Academic Staff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/staff\/academic\">academic<\/a> and personal qualities to enable them to complete and benefit from a postgraduate course, and who will also act as a positive ambassador for their home country in Durham, and put their enhanced knowledge and skills gained from the master\u2019s programme and experience in Durham to good use for the benefit of their society when they return home.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Eligibility\">Eligibility<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Call for Applications for Masters and Doctoral Scholarships at Copperbelt University\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/call-for-applications-for-masters-and-doctoral-scholarships-at-copperbelt-university\">Applicants must have applied for and been offered an unconditional place on their chosen master\u2019s<\/a> programme by June 2023.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must not be in receipt of any other scholarship to fund their <a title=\"REGULATIONS AND GUIDELINES FOR HIGHER DEGREES TO SUPPORT ONLINE TRAINING AND MANAGEMENT OF POSTGRADUATE STUDIES AT SUA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/regulations-and-guidelines-for-higher-degrees-to-support-online-training-and-management-of-postgraduate-studies-at-sua\">postgraduate studies<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be female.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be a national of one of the following countries:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Afghanistan<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh<\/p>\n<p>Benin<\/p>\n<p>Bhutan<\/p>\n<p>Bolivia<\/p>\n<p>Burkina Faso<\/p>\n<p>Burundi<\/p>\n<p>Cabo Verde<\/p>\n<p>Cambodia<\/p>\n<p>Cameroon<\/p>\n<p>Central African Republic<\/p>\n<p>Chad<\/p>\n<p>Comoros<\/p>\n<p>Congo, Dem. Mode of study<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Full Time Taught Master\u2019s <a title=\"New degree programme \u2013 Bachelor of Science Bee Resources Management\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/bachelor-of-science-bee-resources-management\">Degree programmes<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Year_of_Entry\">Year of Entry<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The <a title=\"Scholarships available for MSc in Carbon Finance\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/scholarships-available-for-msc-in-carbon-finance\">scholarship is available<\/a> for students starting a degree programme in September\/October 2023.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Programmes\">Programmes<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>All except MBA, <a title=\"Applications for Admission into Masters and PhD programmes for the Academic Year 2018\/2019\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/applications-for-admission-into-masters-and-phd-programmes-for-the-academic-year-2018-2019\">PhD and research master&#8217;s programmes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"Further_information\">Further information<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Applicants should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>hold a relevant honours degree of sufficient standard to be admitted to your chosen Master\u2019s course ; and<\/li>\n<li>have all other course entry requirements including the relevant English language qualification;<\/li>\n<li>not hold a Master\u2019s degree; and<\/li>\n<li>not otherwise have the financial means to <a title=\"Masters Studies in Water and Sanitation 2023-24\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/masters-studies-in-water-and-sanitation-2023-24\">study for a Master\u2019s<\/a> degree in the UK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span id=\"Funding_Details\">Funding Details<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The scholarship will cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full payment of University tuition fees<\/li>\n<li>Stipend for living expenses<\/li>\n<li>One return economy air ticket from the home country to the UK, and the cost of return travel between the UK airport and Durham City<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Scholarship Opportunities 2022\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/students\/scholarship-opportunities-2022\">Fully funded<\/a>, self-catered, mixed accommodation at Hatfield College<\/li>\n<li>\u2018Settling in allowance\u2019 on arrival<\/li>\n<li>Cost of UK visa and the UK Health surcharge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Restrictions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Scholarship does not provide funding for dependants, nor for travel during the Scholarship<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation is for the Scholarship holder only;
