The guidelines offer advice on how to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop plans and strategies for the conservation and sustainable use of <a title=\"Biodiversity on a Changing Planet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/biodiversity-on-a-changing-planet\">biodiversity<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Mainstream <a title=\"China has made significant contributions to biodiversity conservation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/china-has-made-significant-contributions-to-biodiversity-conservation\">biodiversity conservation<\/a> objectives across policy sectors<\/li>\n<li>Assess progress in achieving policy targets and the effectiveness of <a title=\"ONLINE COURSE: Designing Conservation Projects and Measuring Impact\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/online-course-designing-conservation-projects-and-measuring-impact\">conservation measures<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Minimize health, environmental and socioeconomic risks resulting from <a title=\"5 Concerning Effects of Biodiversity Loss\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/5-concerning-effects-of-biodiversity-loss\">biodiversity loss<\/a> and ecosystem degradation<\/li>\n<li>Maximize benefits from <a title=\"Call for Application: MSc. Programme on \u201cScience-Policy-Practice Interfaces on Biodiversity, Ecosystem Services and Climate Change\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/call-for-application-msc-programme-on-science-policy-practice-interfaces-on-biodiversity-ecosystem-services-and-climate-change\">biodiversity and ecosystems<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The guidelines are addressed to <a title=\"International Environmental Governance Capacity Building\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/international-environmental-governance-capacity-building\">government officials and experts working for governmental bodies responsible for environmental<\/a> policy, environmental monitoring and compliance monitoring.<\/p>\n<p>In developing national capacities for biodiversity monitoring, the readers may also benefit from the work of the Joint UNECE\/FAO Forestry and Timber Section (Forests, Land and Housing Division) in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Funece.org%2Fforests%2Fdata-and-assessment&amp;data=05%7C01%7Cnicholas.bonvoisin%40un.org%7C5b1b1c148b0c46aeb72808db199431ef%7C0f9e35db544f4f60bdcc5ea416e6dc70%7C0%7C0%7C638131896500229004%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=YnYhVg%2F%2BHisjypAtkQZnfA6qVeVe2TLmZCYqm1hIovI%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">forest monitoring, reporting, and assessment<\/a>.
