{"id":6648,"date":"2023-06-06T17:58:31","date_gmt":"2023-06-06T14:58:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/?p=6648"},"modified":"2023-06-06T17:58:33","modified_gmt":"2023-06-06T14:58:33","slug":"conservation-tech-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/conservation-tech-award","title":{"rendered":"Conservation Tech Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"section wf-section\">\n<div class=\"container-xlarge w-container\">\n<div class=\"conservation_award_header\">\n<div id=\"w-node-b23d8a20-fec5-ddf1-0486-6c3c03a6c9df-cec5642a\" class=\"conservation_award_header--text\">\n<p class=\"heading-small text-color-black margin-bottom\"><strong>Accelerating Innovation and Development<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/allenai.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence<\/a>\u00a0(AI2)\u2019s EarthRanger program is committed to helping protected areas and conservation organizations safeguard wildlife and their habitats through the advancement of technology.<\/p>\n<p>AI2 seeks to provide two (2) grants, each in the amount of $15,000 USD, to organizations that deployed or developed technology to make a positive impact in conservation management, including but not limited to, the security of endangered animals, animal behavioral research, anti-poaching enforcement, ecological management, and human-wildlife coexistence:\u200d<\/p>\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>\u200d<strong><strong>Technology Adopter Grant: this grant is for an organization that adopted technology in new or novel ways for conservation management.<\/strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Technology Practitioner Grant: this <a title=\"Major Research Grant Development Finance\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/major-research-grant-development-finance\">grant is for an organization that developed<\/a> technology (e.g., software, applications, AI models\/algorithms, hardware) to advance conservation management.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/assets-global.website-files.com\/61a93c4da07e4e6975c3f2b2\/62accc8531167c63a888f5f9_CTA_Color_logo.png\" sizes=\"(max-width: 479px) 90vw, (max-width: 767px) 75vw, (max-width: 991px) 47vw, (max-width: 1919px) 31vw, 494.671875px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/assets-global.website-files.com\/61a93c4da07e4e6975c3f2b2\/62accc8531167c63a888f5f9_CTA_Color_logo-p-500.png 500w, https:\/\/assets-global.website-files.com\/61a93c4da07e4e6975c3f2b2\/62accc8531167c63a888f5f9_CTA_Color_logo.png 600w\" alt=\"Conservation Technology Award Logo with Black Rhino\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Both EarthRanger users and non-users are <a title=\"Welcome\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/\">welcome<\/a> to apply for either grant.
