Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) was established on the 1st<\/sup> July, 1984 by the Act of Parliament No.6 of the same year, which was repealed by the Universities Act No.7 of 2005 from which the SUA Charter was granted in 2007. The vision of the University is to be a leading University in the provision of quality knowledge,skills and innovations in agriculture and allied sciences. The Management of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) invites suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill a position of Research fellow trainee (plant genetics and biotechnology) described below:-\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Specific qualifications: <\/strong>Holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in either Botany<\/a>, Plant Biology, Plant Biotechnology or Forestry with a minimum GPA of 3.8 from a recognized University.<\/p>\n

General \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 description for \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 the \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 positions \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 of research fellow<\/a> trainee<\/p>\n

Required Qualifications:<\/strong> A candidate in possession of a Bachelor \/ BSc Degree qualification with a Minimum GPA of 3.8 or an average of B+ for unclassified Degrees such as that of Veterinary and Medical graduates and assessed to be potentially good academically<\/a>. In addition, one must have scored a minimum of B+ in the relevant subjects or its equivalent.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. This is a training post; the staff is required to undergo a Master\u2019s Degree training<\/a> programme;<\/li>\n
  2. Undergo an induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had none before;<\/li>\n
  3. Understudy senior members, including attending lectures and seminars, tutorials and practical training;<\/li>\n
  4. Conduct tutorials, seminars and practical;<\/li>\n
  5. Assist in research<\/a>, consultancy and outreach activities; and<\/li>\n
  6. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Age:<\/strong> Not above 35 years of age<\/p>\n

    Remuneration:<\/strong> As per Treasury Registrar\u2019s Circular No. 7 of 2015, which is applicable at the moment.<\/p>\n
