Department of Ecosystems and Conservation<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Sokoine University of Agriculture<\/a>\u00a0is offering\u00a0Forest Botany<\/a>\u00a0course among others. This\u00a0Forest Botany<\/a>\u00a0is offered under\u00a0BSc Forestry<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0BSc Wildlife Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From 12th<\/sup> to 16th<\/sup> June 2023, Students undertaking BSc Forestry<\/a> Year 1 conducted field practicals at SUA Botanical gardens, Kimboza Forest Reserve and Kitulangalo Forest Reserve, Morogoro.<\/p>\n

Upon successful completion of\u00a0Forest Botany<\/a>\u00a0course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n

  1. Define key concepts and terminologies used in forest botany<\/li>\n
  2. Identify and describe important plant families in forestry.<\/li>\n
  3. Collect plant specimens and prepare herbarium.<\/li>\n
  4. Plan and organize botanical surveys<\/li>\n
  5. Prepare botanical reports and present to professional and non-professional audiences<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
