We are seeking someone who will enhance our position as a leading Medicine and <a title=\"Job vacancies at St. Francis University College of Health and Allied Sciences (SFUCHAS)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/job-vacancies-at-st-francis-university-college-of-health-and-allied-sciences-sfuchas\">Health Sciences<\/a> Faculty through teaching, research and service delivery.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies (CDRS) is uniquely positioned as an interdisciplinary environment in which researchers from across various disciplines offer comprehensive inter-professional and intersectoral disability and rehabilitation-related knowledge translation, management, education and engagement in training programmes, research, and <a title=\"Swedish Research Council: Research Grants in Development Research\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/swedish-research-council-research-grants-in-development-research\">research development<\/a> for all relevant professionals.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Centre strongly advocates for an understanding of disability and rehabilitation as a transformation and social justice issue. The Centre) is advertising for a Senior Lecturer \/ Lecturer with special focus on Assistive Technology (AT) to join the staff of the CDRS in driving teaching and learning, research, and social impact at postgraduate level.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u200d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthening the <a title=\"Academic Staff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/staff\/academic\">academic<\/a> programmes offered by the CDRS with a specific focus on developing a postgraduate diploma (PGDip) in Assistive Technology;<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking teaching, learning and assessment within <a title=\"Applications for Admission into Masters and PhD programmes for the Academic Year 2018\/2019\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/applications-for-admission-into-masters-and-phd-programmes-for-the-academic-year-2018-2019\">academic programmes<\/a> of the CDRS and renewed MBChB curriculum using innovative methods;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating relevant <a title=\"Research and Evaluation Officer \u2013 World Agroforest (ICRAF)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/research-and-evaluation-officer-world-agroforest-icraf\">evaluation and research<\/a> activities to inform the continuous improvement of the teaching and learning initiatives;<\/li>\n<li>Leading and coordinating disability and rehabilitation research within the CDRS\u00bfs strategic research focus areas;<\/li>\n<li>Actively publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals;<\/li>\n<li>Providing research supervision and mentorship to staff and postgraduate students;<\/li>\n<li>Organising CPD activities, short courses and seminars in relevant topics;<\/li>\n<li>Fostering collaboration and engagements with units in the Faculty, University, and other educational and research institutions;<\/li>\n<li>Securing <a title=\"Call for proposals to support Africa\u2019s Science Granting Councils in funding and managing research and innovation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/call-for-proposals-to-support-africas-science-granting-councils-in-funding-and-managing-research-and-innovation\">funding to support href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/master-forestry-degree-oral-defence\">Master&#8217;s degree<\/a> in health sciences or a disability and rehabilitation related field;<\/li>\n<li>Expertise and <a title=\"Field practical training on entomology \u2013 hands-on learning experience with insects\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/field-practical-training-on-entomology-hands-on-learning-experience-with-insects\">experience in mentoring and facilitating learning<\/a> and assessment in postgraduate disability and rehabilitation studies;<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods;<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of postgraduate research supervision;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in teaching and coordination of postgraduate programmes;<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of established regional and <a title=\"UNESCO World Heritage Center \u2014 Requests for International Assistance\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/unesco-world-heritage-center-requests-for-international-assistance\">international collaborations within the area of Assistive<\/a> Technology;<\/li>\n<li>A publication record in disability and rehabilitation studies;<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Call for Projects 2023\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/call-for-projects-2023\">Project<\/a> management, coordination, and networking skills;<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently and in a
