Department of Ecosystems and Conservation<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Sokoine University of Agriculture<\/a>\u00a0is offering\u00a0Forest Botany and Fundamental of Ecology<\/a> courses among others. Forest Botany and Fundamental of Ecolog<\/a> are offered under\u00a0BSc Forestry<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0BSc Wildlife Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From 19th<\/sup> to 24th<\/sup> June 2023, Students undertaking BSc Wildlife Management<\/a> Year 1 conducted field practicals at Mikumi National Park, Morogoro. Upon successful completion of the Forest Botany and Fundamental of Ecology<\/a>\u00a0course, the student will be able to:<\/p>\n

  1. Define key concepts and terminologies used in Forest Botany and Fundamental of Ecology<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Identify and describe important plant families in forestry and wildlife management areas.<\/li>\n
  3. Collect plant specimens and prepare herbarium.<\/li>\n
  4. Plan and organize botanical and ecological surveys<\/li>\n
  5. Prepare botanical and ecological reports and present them to professional and non-professional audiences<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
