You will conduct high-quality <a title=\"PhD Research Scholarship 2020\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/phd-research-scholarship-2020\">research and contribute to knowledge through scholarship<\/a>, publication and presentation in the area of biodiversity conservation and\/or quantitative ecology<\/p>\n<p>Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contributing to a <a title=\"Increasing species coverage to support global biodiversity conservation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/increasing-species-coverage-to-support-global-biodiversity-conservation\">globally leading ecology and biodiversity conservation<\/a> research agenda, including producing and presenting published work<\/li>\n<li>Actively seeking and attaining nationally and\/or internationally competitive grant funding and\/or contracts with industry, <a title=\"Forest Governance Scholarship for PhD\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/forest-governance-scholarship-for-phd\">government<\/a> agencies or other partners to support research<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and delivering <a title=\"Senior Lecturer\/Lecturer: Department of Global Health\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/senior-lecturer-lecturer-department-of-global-health\">lectures<\/a>, tutorials, and practical classes in applied ecology, global environmental change, and related topics as needed at undergraduate and\/or postgraduate level.<\/li>\n<li>Providing joint coordination and with time, primary coordination of undergraduate and\/or postgraduate subjects<\/li>\n<li>Providing <a title=\"Academic Staff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/staff\/academic\">academic<\/a> mentoring and assistance to students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Who We Are Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will have an excellent record of high-quality research, relative to career opportunity in an area of biodiversity conservation and\/or quantitative ecology. You will also have excellent oral and written <a title=\"Community rights and REDD+ in Indonesia\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/community-rights-and-redd-in-indonesia\">communication<\/a> skills.<\/p>\n<p>You will also have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A PhD or equivalent in an area of quantitative ecology, <a title=\"The Impact of Natural History Museum Decline on Biodiversity Conservation\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/the-impact-of-natural-history-museum-decline-on-biodiversity-conservation\">biodiversity conservation<\/a> or a related relevant discipline<\/li>\n<li>An excellent record of high quality research, relative to <a title=\"AWARD One Planet Fellowship call for young climate researchers seeking career acceleration opportunity\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/award-one-planet-fellowship-call-for-young-climate-researchers-seeking-career-acceleration-opportunity\">career opportunity<\/a>, in an area of biodiversity conservation and\/or quantitative ecology.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with students, peers and junior and senior colleagues<\/li>\n<li>The potential to gain research <a title=\"Funguo Innovation Programme 2nd Funding Round\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/funguo-innovation-programme-2nd-funding-round\">funding<\/a> from national and\/or international competitive research bodies and other sources, including industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For further information regarding responsibilities and requirements, please refer to the attached PD.
