The relevant disciplines include, but are not limited to, education sciences, psychology, economics, sociology, behavioral science, computer science, pedagogy, linguistics, neurosciences, and science of learning.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly encouraged to apply are scholars who seek to combine\u00a0multiple levels of analysis\u00a0and engage in\u00a0interdisciplinary work.\u00a0A special focus lies on work to\u00a0understand and embrace\u00a0variability in learning; promote the generation, transfer, and <a title=\"Call for consultancy services on strengthening capacity for policy change to improve REDD+ implementation and integration in Africa: capitalizing on best practices and lessons learnt in an evolving environment\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/call-for-consultancy-services-on-strengthening-capacity-for-policy-change-to-improve-redd-implementation-and-integration-in-africa-capitalizing-on-best-practices-and-lessons-learnt-in-an-evolving-en\">practical application of evidence on human learning and development\u00a0or increase the capacity to\u00a0scale up effective education policies<\/a> and practices.<\/p>\n<p>The Jacobs Foundation is\u00a0especially interested in the following questions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How do variations in individuals and contextual <a title=\"New publication: Factors influencing community\u2019s adoption of domestic water conservation measures\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/new-publication-factors-influencing-communitys-adoption-of-domestic-water-conservation-measures\">factors influence<\/a> learning, development and learning outcomes?<\/li>\n<li>How can we design for learner variability at scale to enable all children to reach their potential as learners and in life?<\/li>\n<li>How can we produce interventions that reduce growing inequalities in children\u2019s <a title=\"Students learning field map technology for forestry inventory and monitoring\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/students-learning-field-map-technology-for-forestry-inventory-and-monitoring\">learning and overcome disparities in the impacts of digital technologies<\/a>?<\/li>\n<li>How can we address the role of <a title=\"Spatial Data Scientist\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/spatial-data-scientist\">data<\/a> to help learners and teachers make informed decisions about their learning and teaching?<\/li>\n<li>What school-level learning approaches, environments, and <a title=\"Field practical training on entomology \u2013 hands-on learning experience with insects\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/field-practical-training-on-entomology-hands-on-learning-experience-with-insects\">experiences are effective in improving learning<\/a> outcomes in heterogeneous student groups?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fellowships are awarded to highly talented and innovative early and mid-career researchers who have received <a title=\"PhD Candidate \u201cHigh-tech sensing for turbulent and radiant heat exchange in urban environments\u201d\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/phd-candidate-high-tech-sensing-for-turbulent-and-radiant-heat-exchange-in-urban-environments\">their\u00a0PhD<\/a> within the past 10 years. <a title=\"Funguo Innovation Programme 2nd Funding Round\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/funguo-innovation-programme-2nd-funding-round\">Funding<\/a> from Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowships is awarded directly to the fellow\u2019s institution and may be used by the fellow over a three-year period to cover a portion of the fellow\u2019s salary and for any purpose in support of the fellow\u2019s research, such as assistants\u2019 salaries, equipment, technical assistance, professional travel, or trainee support.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal <a title=\"Assistant Research Fellow (Natural Resources Management)(Re-Advertised) \u2013 2 Post\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/assistant-research-fellow-natural-resources-managementre-advertised-2-post\">fellow does not only have a great research<\/a> idea but also significant potential as a researcher to contribute as part of interdisciplinary teams within and beyond the network of the Jacobs Foundation.
