such projects may involve students;<\/li>\n<li>Support for incoming individual mobility stays of <a title=\"National Beekeeping Research Master Plan of Tanzania\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/national-beekeeping-research-master-plan-of-tanzania\">Master students for research<\/a> internships to enable the development of new strategic collaborations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OBJECTIVES<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>The aim of this call for projects is to encourage international collaborations, enhance the attractiveness and visibility of the Montpellier site, and contribute to new initiatives.\u00a0<\/strong>Within the framework given above, any <a title=\"Call for Concept Notes for Regional Innovation Collaboration Projects in eastern Africa\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/call-for-concept-notes-for-regional-innovation-collaboration-projects-in-eastern-africa\">project exploring new international collaborations<\/a>, or extending existing collaborations towards new actions, and presenting a clear added value for the P.E.I. may be considered for funding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PREFERRED PARTNERS<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Priority is given to the list of partners below; INTERNATIONAL ARRANGEMENTS<br \/>\n<\/strong>Any existing international partnership tool if the value-added for EXPLORE is demonstrated*2<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>*(1<em>)Universities with a similar profile to UM: institutions interested in the three pillars of Feed-Care-Protect, research-oriented and open to bilateral student exchanges<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>*(2) Existing international partnership tools (if the value-added is demonstrated):<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cirad.fr\/dans-le-monde\/dispositifs-en-partenariat\">Platforms in partnership for research and training (dP) of the CIRAD<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/fr\/international\">International cooperation tools of the CNRS<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.inserm.fr\/international\/europe-et-international\/\">Cooperation tools of the INSERM<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ird.fr\/lird-en-france-et-dans-le-monde\">International Joint Laboratories (LMI) of the IRD<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ALLOCATED MEANS<br \/>\n<\/strong>The financial envelope allocated to the EXPLORE#6 program is\u00a0<strong>\u20ac400,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ECO-RESPONSIBILITY<br \/>\n<\/strong>The candidates are invited to reduce their impact and to favor, when possible, less polluting modes of transportation.\u00a0<strong>When applying online, candidates must enter the amount of CO2e potentially emitted during the round trip, using the\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/agirpourlatransition.ademe.fr\/particuliers\/bureau\/deplacements\/calculer-emissions-carbone-trajets\">Ademe<\/a><strong>\u00a0calculation tool.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SCHEDULE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Call for projects: December 18, 2023<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Application deadline: February 18, 2024 (11:59pm Paris time)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Evaluation by the EXPLORE#6 Evaluation Committee: February 19 to March 15, 2024<\/li>\n<li>Decision by the UM Strategic Investment Committee: March 26, 2024<\/li>\n<li><strong>Announcement of results by e-mail: from April 1, 2024<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mobility stays may start: from May 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>EVALUATION<br \/>\n<\/strong>After an administrative analysis of the applications by the International Relations Department, the applications will be sent for evaluation to the EXPLORE#6 Evaluation Committee, chaired by the UM Vice-President in charge of international relations and composed of members of the UM Academic Council (CAC), directors of the UM research clusters and representatives of the COMIS member institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The EXPLORE#6 Evaluation Committee will produce an evaluation of the eligible applications and will propose a ranking submitted to the UM Strategic Investments Committee (COMIS). Results will be sent by email from April 1, 2024 to successful and unsuccessful applicants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SCHEMES 1 AND 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1\/ INDIVIDUAL MOBILITY STAYS<\/strong><br \/>\nTo develop or extend international collaborations for: \u2022 PhD students, seeking for potential post-doctoral professional <a title=\"Research Opportunities\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/research-opportunities\">research opportunities; \u2022 Professors, researchers, (tenured or contractual at the time of the mobility period) \u2022 Support staff (tenured or contracted at the time of the mobility period)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2\/ OUTGOING COLLECTIVE MOBILITY STAYS<br \/>\n<\/strong>To develop or extend international collaborations (setting up a new training program, building an international partnership between institutions, developing a structuring research project, etc.) for a group of 2 to 4 people composed of professors, researchers, PhD students, support staff (tenured or contractual at the time of the mobility period) from a P.E.I. Institution. Such groups may also involve students. The group must include people from different faculties or P.E.I institutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DETAILS OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT<br \/>\n<\/strong>The EXPLORE#6 call for projects funds grants consisting of:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A daily allowance, which varies according to the country of destination (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/loda\/id\/JORFTEXT000000242360\">see Order of July 3<\/a>, 2006 setting the rates of mission allowances), for a minimum of 5 days when travelling in Europe and for a minimum of 10 days when travelling outside Europe (excluding travel days). The allowance is capped at 30 days per beneficiary regardless of the total duration of the mobility;<\/li>\n<li>Taking care of\u00a0<strong>transportation costs based on actual expenses, up to a maximum of one round trip<\/strong>\u00a0per beneficiary. Coverage is capped according to the distance between the departure and arrival points, calculated as follows\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/fr\/resources-and-tools\/distance-calculator\">the tool developed by the European Commission<\/a>\u00a0:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From 0 to 999 km: \u20ac600 per beneficiary<\/li>\n<li>From 1,000 to 7,999 km: \u20ac1,300 per beneficiary<\/li>\n<li>More than 8,000 km: \u20ac2,000 per beneficiary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These allowances are intended to cover the additional costs of mobility and cannot be used to finance the wage bill. Do not apply to EXPLORE if there is already a <a title=\"Funding Opportunities \u2013 September 2019\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/funding-opportunities-september-2019\">funding opportunity<\/a> on the same theme within the P.E.I..<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ASSESSMENT CRITERIA<br \/>\n<\/strong>Funding for mobility for the sole purpose of attending a symposium or conference is excluded from the EXPLORE call for projects. In addition to the criteria of consistency (scientific vision: &#8220;Feed &#8211; Care &#8211; Protect&#8221; and all disciplines that can contribute to it) and quality of the project, the following selection criteria will be taken into account:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exploratory and structuring character of the application, and presenting an added value for the P.E.I (reinforcement of excellence, acquisition of new skills, <a title=\"Calling for innovative ocean-minded startups\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/calling-for-innovative-ocean-minded-startups\">innovation<\/a>) including for requests for mobility of agents not directly related to these themes;<\/li>\n<li>Stimulating the openness of Montpellier&#8217;s <a title=\"Community rights and REDD+ in Indonesia\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/community-rights-and-redd-in-indonesia\">communities<\/a> to international collaboration by enhancing the partnership networks of institutions dedicated to the international stage and by developing collaborations with public or private stakeholders in the fields of training, research and development, or for pedagogical and organizational innovation;<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative effect induced within the P.E.I. through outgoing collective mobility stays potentially involving several <a title=\"Vacant: Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic, Research And Consultancy)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/vacant-deputy-vice-chancellor-academic-research-and-consultancy\">academic and\/or research<\/a> structures of the P.E.I;<\/li>\n<li>A commitment of the hosting and outgoing structures in the exchange, in particular in terms of human and financial <a title=\"Vacant: Resource Mobilization Officer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/vacant-resource-mobilization-officer\">resources mobilized<\/a>, is expected. Collaborations between academic\/research structures involved in the P.E.I will be particularly appreciated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>APPLICATION PROCESS<br \/>\n<\/strong>You must submit your application before February 18, 2024 (23:59pm, Paris time) via the\u00a0<a title=\"nouvelle fen\u00eatre\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/e\/KXR5K5cghw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">following form<\/a>\u00a0You will have to provide: a brief description of the project, a letter of support with approval from the director of the applicant&#8217;s teaching and\/or research institution, or from the supervisor for administrative staff and a letter of invitation from the director of the host teaching and\/or research institution. For collective outgoing collective mobility stays, the project leader submits the application only once.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SCHEME 3: INCOMING INDIVIDUAL MOBILITY STAYS OF MASTER STUDENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ELIGIBLE PUBLIC<br \/>\n<\/strong>EXPLORE#6 is open to students from foreign partner universities (see list above) for individual incoming mobility in the form of a research internship lasting a maximum of 6 months in P.E.I. laboratories. Students must be enrolled in a Master&#8217;s program at the time of their mobility. Students are not subject to any nationality requirements, but may be subject to the usual laboratory access checks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DETAILS OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>A maximum lump-sum grant of \u20ac5,000 is paid to the host laboratory<\/strong>. This support is proportionally reduced for mobility periods of less than 6 months.
