The report suggests that citizen deliberation can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>deepen <a title=\"Call for consultancy services: recruitment of experts to review and synthesise information on the nexus between climate change, forests and trees\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/call-for-consultancy-services-recruitment-of-experts-to-review-and-synthesise-information-on-the-nexus-between-climate-change-forests-and-trees\">climate<\/a> governance by involving citizens more directly in policymaking;<\/li>\n<li>empower citizens to consider trade-offs and co-develop mutually acceptable outcomes;<\/li>\n<li>break political deadlocks on <a title=\"Shifting Special Drawing Rights for Climate Action\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/shifting-special-drawing-rights-for-climate-action\">climate<\/a> action;<\/li>\n<li>transform protest demands into actionable <a title=\"Stanford Law School Policy Lab and Bezos Earth Fund report recommends climate-smart forestry practices\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/stanford-law-school-policy-lab-and-bezos-earth-fund-report-recommends-climate-smart-forestry-practices\">policy<\/a> recommendations;<\/li>\n<li>decentre elite control of the <a title=\"GMES &amp; Africa Strengthens Synergy with PolicyMakers to Address Climate Change Effects through EO Technologies\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/gmes-africa-strengthens-synergy-with-policymakers-to-address-climate-change-effects-through-eo-technologies\">climate policymaking<\/a> process;<\/li>\n<li>build the capacity of <a title=\"Community rights and REDD+ in Indonesia\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/community-rights-and-redd-in-indonesia\">communities<\/a> to resist disinformation and resolve civic conflict;<\/li>\n<li>contribute to <a title=\"Public Awareness on Climate Change\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/public-awareness-on-climate-change-2\">public deliberation on climate change<\/a> by engaging the wider public with climate assembly remits and recommendations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The report shows the diverse deliberative practices in regions such as <a title=\"UNICEF: Climate change endangers 45M African children\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cfwt.sua.ac.tz\/ecosystems\/news\/unicef-climate-change-endangers-45m-african-children\">Africa<\/a>, Asia, and Latin America, such as the village assemblies in India and Indonesia.
