Biography:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Greyson Z. Nyamoga is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher with about 15 years of teaching experience in the Department of Forest and Environmental Economics at Sokoine University of Agriculture. During this time, Greyson has been working on issues related to\u00a0Forest Economics, Poverty Analysis, Natural Resources Management\u00a0<\/i><\/b>and\u00a0Community Based Natural Resources Management <\/i><\/b>in Tanzania. Greyson holds a PhD in Forest Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, \u00c5s \u2013 Arkeshus, Norway. His PhD majored on Analyzing Aspects of Land Use Sustainability in Tanzania focusing mainly on Current Forest Degradation, Urban Charcoal Demand and Impacts of Future Firewood and Charcoal Consumption.\u00a0 Before pursuing his\u00a0PhD, Greyson spent six months at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences as an EPINAV exchange student\u00a0in 2013 which led to his PhD Scholarship from September 2014. While pursuing his Masters in Sustainable Development Practices (MDP) at the University of Florida in the US, Greyson spent a total of about 6 months in Botswana working with communities in Sankuyo and Shorobe Villages helping them to develop management plans for Wildlife Management. Greyson has conducted several consultant works with the WWF -Tanzania,\u00a0The Global Resource Alliance (GRA) and Weforest,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Forestry and Value Chains Development Programme (FORVAC), Tanzania,\u00a0\u00a0Jane Goodall Institute (JGI), International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) from UK and Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (TCCIA) just to mention a few on issues related to sustainable charcoal production and consumption, fuel woodlot commercialization, natural resources management, governance, gender, economic empowerment and forest products value chain analysis in Tanzania. Greyson has supervised more than 12 postgraduate and more than 40 undergraduate students in their research projects.\u00a0 He is currently the Head of Department of Forest and Environmental Economics under the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Tourism at Sokoine University of Agriculture.<\/p>\n
