To curb the flood, says Jenna Jambeck, an environmental engineer at the University of Georgia, \u201cwe need to take more action and it needs to be further upstream\u201d in the production process.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s exactly what negotiators from 193 countries are setting out to do when they\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unep.org\/environmentassembly\/unea5\">meet<\/a>\u00a0in Nairobi, Kenya, next week.
