Research Area: My career interests revolve around human-wildlife interaction in the context of natural resource use conflicts, governance and management. I am also interested to do research on wildlife-based tourism, ecotourism, tourism education and sustainable tourism development. I also do research to understand how volunteer tourism can be a sustainable form of tourism in terms of contributing to nature conservation and improving the well being of the host communities.

BIOGRAPHY


Mr. Peter Marwa Ezra has been working with Department of Wildlife Management of the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) for the last seven years as a Lecturer. He holds B.Sc. degree in Wildlife Management from SUA and Master of Tourism Management from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. As a full time lecturer he teaches various undergraduate courses including Community-based Tourism, Sociology-cultural Systems of Tourism, Resort and Leisure Management and Human Resource Management. With a background and experience in wildlife, he has been involved in various research projects vis-avis assessment of the past and present ecological connectivity of large and small mammals between Ruaha, Mikumi and Udzungwa Mountain National Parks.
