CFWT WOODLOTS

History and Scope

Tree planting was initiated by SUA to ensure proper utilization of University land. Areas set-aside by the University farm Manager for tree planting are: Lugala, Lugoba, Mazimbu, Barongo, Morning side, around Mindu Dam and Iringa road. These areas are underutilized and/or threatened by soil erosion. Established forest plantations on this land are used for training and research purposes.
