Best utilization  of pure species and clonal hybrids of Eucalyptus

Sampling and initial data collection

The Department of Forest Engineering and Wood Sciences has been assigned work by Forestry Development Trust (FDT) to advise on the ​​best utilisation  of four pure species and nine clonal hybrids of eucalyptus grown by them. The trial plantations which are located at Kisolanza (Iringa), Tanwat 1 and Uchindile 1 (Njombe) and Lwangu (Malinyi) have just attained half rotation age of 5 years.
