entomology field training continues at the Udzungwa Ecological Monitoring Centre

The second session of the field practical training on biology, systematics, taxonomy and evolution of Insects at Udzungwa Ecological Monitoring Centre was offered through the CONTAN project.  The Department of Ecosystems and Conservation of the Sokoine University of Agriculture in partnership with University of Florence, MUSE – Science museum, University of Copenhagen, University of Bayreuth, University of Dar es Salaam, and College of African Wildlife Management conducted field practical training on entomology (insect biodiversity) as a part of the biodiversity assessment, monitoring, and conservation.

Prof. Thomas Pape who is working at Natural History Museum of Denmark, University of Copenhagen trained Students of MSc. Ecosystems Science and Management, and MSc. Forestry on systematics, biology and specialization of insects at Udzungwa Ecological Monitoring Centre.
